Welcome to my blog presenting some of my paintings and poetry. These two creative activities are both similar and different – and complementary, which is why I sometimes combine a poem with a painting. My favourite medium is acrylics because these paints are so rich and versatile that it’s possible to produce anything from thick impasto effects to delicate water colours. I love experimenting with acrylics to find out what I can do with them, how I can use them to express a concept, a feeling, an experience, a sight … Poetry serves a similar purpose through the medium of words. Creation can be a personal and solitary experience but the result is, hopefully, the expression of something that can appeal to everyone - which is why I have set up this blog.
